In the recent .IE Domain Profile Report released by DotIE, the national registry for .IE domains, shows that new .IE domain name registrations increased by 24% in 2021 over 2019. In total, 62,198 domains were registered, bringing many small and medium-sized Irish businesses online for the first time as they sought to pivot during the pandemic. This new report comes on the heels of the ComReg report issued in December, showing that the Irish are coming online in record numbers. Both consumers and businesses are now online and staying online.
