Blacknight Launches Summer Recruitment Drive

Work for Ireland's Leading Hosting Company in the Sunny Southeast!

Summary
Blacknight, the Carlow-based internet services company will advertise a number of jobs over the summer of 2016, beginning with vacancies for a sales manager and software developers. The company offers a comprehensive package of salary and benefits including a free canteen, generous holidays, and a friendly, positive office culture.

Blacknight, Ireland’s leader in web hosting and domain names, has announced a summer recruitment drive for vacancies in software development, customer service, marketing and sales.

The Carlow-based internet services company has already advertised two positions: sales manager and software developer, with more to follow in the coming weeks.

The expansion reflects the company’s continued growth, which has seen it introduce a range of new cloud services in addition to its established range of Linux and Windows-based hosting plans, email, domain name registration, dedicated servers and colocation, for businesses large and small, in more than 130 countries.

New products include Microsoft Office 365, a website builder, and tools for digital marketing and social media management, backed up by Blacknight’s famous technical support. The company recently achieved ISO 27001 certification, and is a fully accredited domain registrar with ICANN.

Company CEO Michele Neylon is proud of Blacknight’s achievements in the marketplace, but he points out that they've also worked hard to create a positive environment for staff.

“We opened our staff canteen in Carlow three years ago, and initially it was subsidised”, he says. “Now we’ve made it completely free, offering a choice of hot meals for lunch, including vegetarian and healthy options. We have free tea, coffee and fresh fruit available throughout the day.”

The office atmosphere is relaxed and informal, with no dress code. “Our staff are professional, friendly, knowledgeable and resourceful”, says Michele. “Some of them are stylish as well - but that’s not why we hire them!”

Commuting is easy with free parking and a convenient location near the M9 motorway, just one hour from Dublin airport. The company operates the Bike-to-Work scheme and showers are provided on site. The company runs a group pension scheme with income protection and DIS benefits, with regular performance reviews, generous holidays, weekly salary payments and 6 months paid maternity leave.

If Blacknight is a good place to work, Michele Neylon says it is also a place to grow:

“Blacknight operates at the leading edge of internet technology, participating at the highest level in organisations like ICANN and the Internet Infrastructure Coalition. We operate data centres in Carlow and Dublin and are certified to ISO 27001 for information security management systems. We provide training and further education opportunities. We are growing our business - and our employees’ careers as well.”
